Calling all go-getters, innovators, risk-takers and leaders! Join like-minded, courageous Girl Scouts in this two year specialinterest group to plan monthly thrilling adventures around New England. Day trips could include canoeing, hiking, sea kayaking, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, ropes courses, zip lining, stand up paddle boarding, skiing, snowboarding, surfing, or any other fun outdoor activities the group decides to try!

Yearly Joiner Fee
If after attending an info session a girl decides to join the group, a required annual registration fee of $75 will cover the first three monthly meetings. Girls will be required to either participate in funds-earning activities or pay directly for additional monthly activities.

Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) is a USA Archery program designed to teach archery to people ages 8 to 20. The program is taught by certified instructors and coaches. Archers begin by learning range safety and proper shooting technique in an environment that fosters focus self-confidence and team-building skills. JOAD is designed to monitor and enhance each archer’s growth and development in this great sport; the introductory classes naturally progressfrom beginner skills to advanced techniques.

Yearly Joiner Fee
The required annual registration fee includes a club T-shirt, lanyard, stretch band and information packet. You must pay the joiner fee before registering for sessions.

Volunteer Training

Required for Junior troop volunteers. Prerequisite:  Troop Pathway Orientation

Learn to guide and mentor Juniors as they develop leadership skills. Develop strategies that promote a girl-led environment, how to implement journeys and badges for a well-rounded and fun experience, and ways to incorporate the online Volunteer Toolkit in meeting planning. Also covered: behavior management, girl-led planning and additional awards.

*Please Note: Volunteers must be at least 18 year old, and a registered adult member of Girl Scouts with a current, eligible Criminal Background Check in order to attend this event. For more information on arranging proper volunteer supervision of girls- please visit Volunteer Essentials Chapter 4: "Safety Wise"
