The Girl Scouts of Colorado is now offering year round riding at Tomahawk Ranch in Bailey, CO. We offer a variety of equestrian programs. Our certified staff teaches the girls about horse care, Western beginner and advanced riding disciplines, stable management, trail riding in the Rocky Mts and more.

• To participate in trail rides riders need to be at least 2nd grade.
• To participate in lessons and other equestrian events, riders need to be at least 4th grade.
• All riders are required to wear an ASTM/SEI approved safety helmet, regardless of age and ability. (GSCO does offer boots and helmets at our facility that participants can borrow.)
• All riders are required to wear long pants, shirts that can be tucked in, hard-soled, treadless riding boot with approximately a one-inch heel (not hiking boots or tennis shoes), and no lose articles of clothing on body or around neck, etc.
• There is a weight limit of 250 lbs.

Cost is $20/hour for registered Girl Scout Members and $35/hour for nonmembers.

Refund Policy:

• Refunds are given on a per registrant basis. 
• Cancellations prior to the event deadline will receive a refund (minus a $5 processing fee). Written notice is required (email is acceptable).
• Refund requests will be processed within 5-7 business days.
• No refunds will be given after the registration deadline.
• If GSCO staff cancels a riding session or program for any reason including weather conditions, a full refund will be issued.

Sessions last for approximately an hour. If you wish to attend for longer and learn more, please book consecutive sessions!
