How Do I

Welcome to the help pages.  This pages will assist you in finding answers to most of the common questions that you may have regarding registration and other the functions of this website.  If you do not find answers your question, please fill out the Contact Form.  If you experience a problem using the preformatted form you may send an email to helpdesk@nccoastalpines.org but please ensure that you include your full name, county, troop number, problem description details.

 Activate Account

  • I tried to log on with my name and email, but it won't let me...
    There can be several reasons that you were unable to log in.
    • Your name and/or email address is not spelled the same in our system. Perhaps you have changed email addresses since you completed your registration. Try the old one!
    • You may have put a space before or after you name or email address. The system recognizes each space you put in as a character, so if you have an extra space you will be marked as invalid. You may want to try again if you are unsure about this.
    • You are not active in the system for this year. This will not be known until you email us to check. (They can log in even if they are not active – but they won’t be able to see their troop even if they are coded as an 01). Maybe what we need to say is that They are not in the system yet. Do we want new volunteers or volunteers new to our council to set up a profile – which means that they will actually be building a new customer in our database (not a new member, just a new customer).
    You can check with your local Service Unit Manager, who has a list of volunteers, their membership ID number and the email address listed in our database. She/he can give you your membership ID and you can try to activate your account this way. If you have checked the above reasons, please fill out the help desk Contact Form so we can send you a validation of your email address and GSUSA ID.
  • I activated my account, but have forgotten my password...
    From the homepage, below the login box click on the "forgot password" or click here.  You will need your username and email address.
  • I activated my account, but have forgotten my username...
    From the homepage, below the login box, click on the "forgot username" link or click here.  Enter your Customer ID if known or simply enter your name and registered email address.  If the system cannot find your information confirm that you have indeed registered for this particular system.

Change Contact Information

  • How do I  change my address?
    Login and click on "My Account Information."  Click on "Contact information" and edit as desired.  Remember to click okay to say the changes.
