Learn the ABCs of becoming a safe and responsible babysitter. Particpants learn about accident prevention, emergency response, and general child and infant care. Girl Scouts who are age 11 or older by the class session may paticipate in a full-day training offered by certified instructors with the American Red Cross. Girl Scout troops registering for this training must have a leader or parent attend the sesssion and must register as a troop. Individually registered Girl Scout Juniors must attend with an adult.

Please note that adults will not receive any first aid/CPR certification during this class.

Location:  Carver's Creek State Park, Cumberland County

Join us for a special day in the park and become a “North Carolina State Park Lady Explorer” (NC SPARKLE).  The fun day includes educational hikes, games, and crafts focused on subjects that make each park special.  Experience some activities from our It's Your Planet - Love It! Journeys during your adventure.  The day at Carver's Creek will focus on the unique historical farming practices and alternative energy that debuted on the property, and a little history on what the park and the Rockefeller family have in common.  Individually registered girls must attend with an adult.

Enjoy a special sneek peak at the park before it is opened to the public!

Open to:  All Girl Scouts and their gal pal (gal pals must be over 18).

Individual Registration Only - you must be logged in to your girl's account to register for this event.  When you register your girl, an adult will automatically be registered with her.  To add a single additional girl participant, please email programreg@nccoastalpines.org.

Pack your bags and bring your favorite gal (mom, grandma, aunt or female role model) for a fun and relaxing escape! You will be able to rejuvenate at the “Camp Graham Spa” where you will learn how to make your own facials and lip gloss, take a refreshing dip in the healing waters of Kerr Lake, and dance the night away at our end of the summer beach bash. When your nails have dried, come explore the rest of camp and try your hand at archery, tie-dying, and much more! This is a perfect way for you & your gal to spend quality time together! All adults must be registered members and successfully complete a criminal background check prior to the event.

Share a day at Camp Mary Atkinson with your favorite guy! Choose what you want to do—as long as you do it together. Swim in the pool, canoe in the pond, make a craft, take a hike, or just relax. Camp is a great place to hang out together and share new experiences. You might even want to challenge yourselves on the Alpine Tower (for those 10 years or older).  Lunch will be served camp style. Come make some new memories for the two of you. The adult male attending must be 18 years or older (i.e., dads, brothers, uncles), be registered, and have successfully completed a criminal background check.

Come have lots of fun with your favorite guy pal (dad, uncle, older brother—guy must be over 18). Enjoy singing around the campfire, archery, canoeing, and dancing at the Pirate & Princess Dance Party! Each girl must attend with an adult male. All adults must be registered members and successfully complete a criminal background check prior to the event. Adults will sleep separately from the girls, but will be close by in the same unit. This is an individual event, and we will not be able to accommodate more than one buddy request per guy pal pair.
