First Aid and CPR Classes provide the necessary training for troops to safely go on camping trips and overnight excursions. Each troop is required to have one certified First Aid and CPR adult for trips or activities specifically mentioned in Safety Activity check points.
Girl Scouts - NCCP offers American Red Cross (ARC), American Heart (AHA) and National Safety Council (NSC) First Aid and CPR classes. If you register for the traditional ARC and AHA course (typically 6 hours), you will need to purchase a corresponding course book. When registering, please select the specific book for American Heart or American Red Cross classes. If your troop owns a current copy, you can utilize that for the course. The registration for NSC courses includes the cost of the book.
We also offer the American Red Cross blended learning classes which involve both online testing and hands-on demonstration of skills in an actual classroom setting. Both portions of the blended learning are required for certification. Please be careful when making your class selection - refunds for blended learning classes are not available. Note: you will not receive the information for the online learning portion of the course upon registration. This information is sent in a separate email 3-4 weeks prior to the date of the in-person skills session.
