Equestrian Activities

Horseback riding lessons are available for small groups and for private individual lessons. Private lessons are often recommended for first time riders and allow for more time per child. Lessons are taught in both English and Western saddles, with an emphasis on proper equitation and correct use of aids. Beginning lessons highlight confidence with leading, grooming, and assisting in tacking up horses. Arena work such as small obstacle courses, patterns, barrels, and riding exercises follow. Girls may register for a single riding lesson or multiple lessons.
