Harthegig's Shooting Sampler 05-10-14

Description: Come out to Harthegig Conservation Club and participate in a basic gun safety class, shoot 22 rifles in the inside range, perfect your aim with 20 gauge shotguns and flying clay discs, learn to shoot muzzleloaders (rifles from the 18th century), and try your hand at archery with 3-D targets.  You will also get to experience Seneca Run Trail, an obstacle course that simulates how the Indians tested their youth by throwing tomahawks, knives, spears, and rocks.  You'll walk a balance beam and swing on a rope swing!  Round out your day with some lessons in basic outdoor survival, Dutch over cooking, and tree identification.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided.  Dress appropriately for the weather; you will be outside most of the day.  Adults are encouraged to participate in the activities.  (Please note: this option does not include the overnight).  Girls Grades 6-12
