For:  Cadette, Senior, Ambassador

This course prepares Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador girls to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.  They will also earn their First Aid Badge. Please dress in comfortable clothing as skills are performed on the floor.

Special Instructions:  Wear comfortable clothing. Bring  a water bottle, snacks, and a sack lunch.  Adults attending this event are responsible for their troop or individual scout’s behavior. During non-drop off Girl Scout events, the safety-wise (Chapter 4 of Volunteer Essentials) adults and adults listed on the Troop Travel Application (TTA) attending the event are responsible for the safety and well-being of the girls that are in their care during the event. Do not leave your girl scouts in the care of other adults at the event that are not listed on your TTA or directly related to the child.
